When Steve Hillage's album collection was released on CD, it was done right. Albums were combined to make the full use of CD space. This CD is a combination of the original Open album, plus the studio side of Herald and one extra track. It is 65 minutes long. The first four tracks on this ablum come from the album called Herald/5(25).

7th album by Hillage in less than 5 years and the third one originally released in – a very busy year for him. As already mentioned (see Live Herald) the album opens with four studio tracks originally included as side 4 of the Live Herald album and then continues with the tracks recorded a few months later as the original Open album.

The musicianship and uplifting vibe on all Steve Hillage albums has always been of the highest order and this still shines through three decades after original release. A good mate of mine gave me a 7" promo single of the "Leylines To Glassdom" track on this CD years ago and the expensive record player I had back then made it sound wonderful/5(44).
